1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Citrafort ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Citrafort is a family budgeting application that allows users to:

  • Track household income and calculate take-home pay using Australian tax rates
  • Record and categorise expenses, bills, and subscriptions
  • View weekly or fortnightly spendable amounts
  • Share budgets with family members
  • Track transactions and spending patterns
  • Access financial education content

3. Not Financial Advice

Important: Citrafort is a budgeting tool only. The Service does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Tax calculations are estimates based on published ATO rates and should not be relied upon for tax filing purposes.

You should consult with qualified professionals before making any financial decisions. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information from the Service.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use

5. User Data and Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including budget information, income details, expenses, and transaction records. By using the Service, you grant us permission to store and process this data to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. We are not liable for any errors in calculations or summaries caused by inaccurate user input.

6. Budget Sharing

When you invite someone to a shared budget:

  • Invited members can view and edit all income, expenses, and transactions within that budget
  • Budget invitations expire after 7 days
  • Budget owners can remove members at any time
  • You are responsible for only inviting people you trust with your financial information

7. Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate calculations:

  • Tax calculations are estimates based on 2024-25 ATO rates and may not reflect your specific circumstances
  • Superannuation calculations use standard rates and may not account for employer-specific arrangements
  • Budget summaries depend on the accuracy and completeness of user-entered data

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorisation

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

  • Supabase (authentication and data storage)
  • Google (social sign-in)
  • Vercel (hosting)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain Service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Citrafort and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Citrafort and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
